Catching up with thank yous

I am quite behind on thank yous. These are from November and December but I hope to be excused as my laptop died just as I was going to post. The adorable bag is from Lynne and it was stuffed with

beautiful yarn. I love both and am itching to knit with it. I don’t want to make my usual plain stockinette with those skeins so am thinking about what I’m going to make as they are so gorgeous. I think something with a cable. I did think the Nancy Bush Whitby pattern might be nice. I remember them as a nice sock to knit. I was going to plunge in and start them tonight but remembered I ought to do something a bit mindless as the socks I start this week are coming to hospital with me on Thursday and I want something I can chuck down quickly when I’m called over to speak to pao which happened last time. Thank you very much, Lynne. When I do get to start them, I will enjoy knitting up that yarn.

Belated thanks to Sarah who organised a paperback swap for her sister. I’m sure I got the better end of the deal as I got a beautiful handmade pouch with tape measure and stitch markers as well as some of my favourite candy. I feel rather spoilt. Thank you, Sarah!
I have another thank you but I’m going to post that one later in the week as I’m getting a bit weary. I can’t even blame Sirius as he has been asleep a lot today. Usually when he has been sleeping a lot, he seems to have grown a bit. He is a bit of a finicky eater and doesn’t like cat biscuits which will be his normal diet eventually. He has been eating wet food in jelly but really prefers wet food with gravy so I made him a special dish of jelly wet food, biscuits and some instant gravy. I think it might be a bit salty for him so I will have to look at other solutions but he did lap it up.
Oh, do we ever spoil our cats! I lugged home an enormous 20kg bag of a special Dental Diet kibble for the guys from the veterinarian’s office, because they just love it. At dinner time, they get their wet food, with a little bit of kibble. Malcolm gets his kitten food softened with a bit of warm water, and soft food.
It probably takes me longer to prepare their dinner in the evening that it does mine.
Fun goodies!!!
Heh, and then we have Chaos, who will eat anything…
Mrs. Pao- Have you ever seen the “Seinfeld” episode with the Junior mints?
Oh no. Picky eaters are hard to live with. Pudding will eat only one thing – not even treats. If our current cat food company ever goes out of business, we’re going to have a problem.
