Wordless Wednesday: Ickham
pao and I went to Ickham on Sunday, the village next to Wickhambreaux. Sadly, it wasn’t walking as I’d intended but we did manage a hobble from the car. It was freezing cold so we took shelter in the church. Quite often country churches are not open so it was a nice surprise to take a close look at the inside. There is so much detail and attention to details in old churches.

Oooo, indeed details in the old churches are so often exquisite! Thanks for sharing a glimpse of these!

Oh look – green grass. I remember green grass. I think. Looks like a nice place.

LOL! Like Jeanne, the green grass was the thing that most caught my eye.

Love it! Modern churches lose so much of the charm that old churches have. It’s so much easier to feel a connection to something greater than oneself in an old church compared to a new one.
